Leading and managing change

This development day explores the importance of the key management tools of supervi-sion and appraisal and their associated tasks and responsibilities. It offers the opportuni-ty to evaluate, validate or improve existing practice and identify successful behaviours and strategies in staff supervision and appraisal as required by CQC

Who should attend?

Regional managers, agency and home managers, deputies and heads of departments. This course is particularly suitable for first line managers.

What are the benefits of attending?

By the end of the programme you will:

  • Be clear about the roles and responsibilities which are essential to good patterns of supervision and appraisal.
  • Understand the application of these roles and responsibilities within individual cir-cumstances.
  • Understand the relationship between personal and professional behaviour and suc-cessful management outcomes.

How long does the programme last?

This is a one day course. Some pre-course work is required.
